"It’s that time of year again, Holiday pounds need to come off and the battle to lose the weight begins. For many the thought of diet and exercise can be daunting and the statistics are staggering. More than one third of U.S. adults—more than 72 million people—are obese and since 1980, obesity rates for adults have doubled.
Despite this seemingly dismal outlook, more and more consumers are starting to take an active role with their health and fitness in order to avoid being included as an obesity statistic. Chief Researcher of the study, Jeffrey R. Stout, PhD., discusses the best ways and hard facts of what it takes to shed and keep off those pounds. He also talks about a landmark new study conducted by his team, showing that drinking Celsius, which is a functional beverage, prior to exercise showed a significant reduction in fat when combined with exercise.
The 10-week study consisted of 5 days a week of moderate exercise and compared participants who drank one, single 12 oz serving of Celsius prior to moderate exercise and once daily on weekends, with those who did moderate exercise only without drinking Celsius. The study was presented at the American College of Nutrition and was published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. Those drinking Celsius prior to moderate exercise had the following benefits:
- 78% greater fat loss
- 114% greater decrease in percent body fat
- 79% greater endurance performance
- 32% greater resistance to fatigue (increased energy)
- 5.5 lbs of fat loss"
Our 6th clinical study shows that drinking Celsius fifteen minutes prior to moderate exercise may stimulate the fat burning mechanism in previously sedentary adult men that begin a moderate exercise regimen. The 10-week study of 37 college-age men consisted of 5 days a week of moderate exercise and compared participants who consumed one single 12 oz can of Celsius 15 minutes prior to moderate exercise, with participants who did moderate exercise only.
The Celsius group on average experienced the following benefits:
• 78% greater fat loss
• 114% greater decrease in percent body fat
• 79% greater endurance performance
• 32% greater resistance to fatigue (increased energy)
• 5.5 lbs of fat loss

Celsius was proud to be part of this year's IHRSA Show(International Health Racquet and Sports Club Association). We met many wonderful people at the show and were lucky to have Larry English of the San Diego Chargers on hand to greet visitors to the booth. Celebrity Trainer and Boxing Champion Danny Musico swung by as well. Thanks to everyone involved that made this appearance such a success!

A special thanks from Celsius to the Rosebuds for helping out at the Fort Lewis Army Base event last weekend. This is a great video that gives a quick look into the scope of the days events. The Rosebuds are the Winterhawks Hockey Team's dancers from Portland OR.
Be on the lookout for more!
On Saturday February 27th, Fort Lewis Army Base hosted a meet and greet with Celsius and Mario Lopez. The pictures above are just a taste of the experience, with more to come later this week!
With over 2000 people attending the event, Mario signed personalized autographs and Mud Taco books and took photos with the crowd for over 4 straight hours. Celsius was on hand to provide some healthy refreshment to the troops and their families.
†In a study of 60 healthy college-aged men and women, 100 calories represents the average calories burned over three hours for those participants consuming a single serving of Celsius®. Celsius® alone does not produce weight loss in the absence of a healthy diet and moderate exercise. Loss of fat mass, gain of muscle mass and improved endurance were benefits found for participants consuming a single serving of Celsius everyday and 15 minutes prior to exercise in a study using a 10-week moderate exercise program.
